General Questions
What is AlgoEdge?
AlgoEdge is a professional algorithmic trading platform that provides automated Expert Advisor (EA) bots for MetaTrader 5 (MT5). Our bots are built by experienced traders and quant developers to execute high-probability strategies on autopilot — 24 hours a day, 5 days a week.
What markets do your bots trade?
Our bots primarily trade Forex pairs (such as EUR/USD, GBP/USD, and XAU/USD), but some strategies also cover indices and commodities. Each product page clearly lists the supported instruments and recommended pairs.
Do I need trading experience to use AlgoEdge bots?
No prior trading experience is required. Our bots are fully automated and come pre-configured with optimised settings. However, we do recommend reading our Setup Guide and having a basic understanding of risk management before going live.
Technical Setup
What platform do AlgoEdge bots run on?
All AlgoEdge bots are developed for MetaTrader 5 (MT5). MT5 is a free platform available from most major Forex brokers. It is not compatible with MetaTrader 4 (MT4).
Which brokers are compatible with AlgoEdge bots?
Our bots are broker-agnostic and work with any MT5-supported broker. For the best performance, we recommend brokers that offer low spreads, fast execution, and support for Expert Advisors. ECN/STP brokers are generally preferred over market makers.
Can I run multiple bots at the same time?
Yes. You can run multiple bots simultaneously across different charts and currency pairs within MT5. Each bot uses a unique Magic Number to manage its own trades independently. We recommend using a VPS (Virtual Private Server) if running multiple bots to ensure stable uptime.
Do I need to keep my computer on for the bot to run?
Yes — MT5 must be running for the bot to execute trades. If you don't want to leave your computer on 24/5, we strongly recommend using a VPS (Virtual Private Server). A VPS keeps your bot running continuously without relying on your local machine. We recommend any VPS provider offering Windows Server with low-latency connections to your broker.
Performance & Risk
What kind of returns can I expect?
Past performance is not indicative of future results. Our product pages include historical backtest data and live performance stats where available. Returns vary based on market conditions, broker, lot size, and account balance. We encourage all users to start on a demo account before going live.
Is my capital safe?
All trading involves risk and there is always a possibility of loss. AlgoEdge bots include built-in Stop Loss (SL) and Take Profit (TP) parameters to help manage risk. We strongly advise users to only trade with capital they can afford to lose and to use sensible lot sizing relative to their account balance.
Should I start on a demo account?
Absolutely. We always recommend running any new bot on a demo account for at least 2–4 weeks before deploying it on a live account. This helps you become familiar with the bot's behaviour and verify the settings match your risk tolerance.
Purchases & Licensing
How do I receive my bot after purchase?
Once your purchase is confirmed, you will receive a download link via email containing your bot's Expert Advisor (.ex5) file, along with any documentation or preset files. Please check your spam/junk folder if you don't see it within a few minutes.
Is the licence for one account or multiple?
Each purchase grants a licence for use on a single MT5 live account and one demo account. If you need a multi-account licence, please contact our support team for custom pricing.
Do you offer refunds?
Due to the digital nature of our products, all sales are final once the EA file has been delivered. If you experience a technical issue with your bot, please contact our support team and we will do everything we can to resolve it promptly.

How do I get support if I have a problem?
You can reach our support team via the Contact page. We also have a dedicated Telegram community where you can ask questions, share results, and get real-time updates from the AlgoEdge team. Response times are typically within 24 hours on business days.
Do you provide updates to the bots?
Yes. We periodically release updates to our bots to improve performance, adapt to changing market conditions, and fix any issues. Licensed customers are notified by email when updates are available and can download updated files at no additional cost.
